BODEGAS VALTRAVIESO, RIBERA DEL DUERO, SPAIN In the heart of Ribera del Duero, in the Valladolid district of Pińel de Arriba, stands the Valtravieso estate, surronded by its vineyards, in the fashion of a centerary French Chăteaux. Valtravieso is a recent and dynamic winery which has, in spite of its young age, demonstrated its outstanding character and personality, ever since the first vintage came on the market in 1994. Two events of key importance took place in 2002, which have given a new impetus to Valtravieso, namely the change in shareholders of the company that owns the Winery and the integration of a new management team. From this moment on, the Bodega has embarked upon a fascinating project led by this team, with the aim to make Valtravieso a benchmark in terms of quality and innovation within the realm of the Denomination of Origin and sector in general. The philosophy of Valtravieso is to make the most out of the resources nature has to offer, to produce a wine that is unique, and wine that is full of sensations and that expresses the singularity and personality of its vineyard and land of origin. Thanks to the skill of its people and by blending the most ancient traditions of this land, home to centenary vines, with excellent state-of-the-art production processes, the wine obtained is expressive and of high quality. On the other hand, this represents the essence of this land whose history flows alongside that of the vines and the wine, and on the other hand, the uniqueness achieved through the work of its creators.
